Private hire is available for 30-250 guests, making this one of Brighton & Hove’s largest venues with indoor & outdoor space for your celebration or garden party. Our friendly staff & event organisers have decades of experience in hosting parties, and are on hand to assist you throughout the whole planning process and to ensure a smooth running day/night, whatever the occasion may be. Birthdays, Wedding Receptions, Engagements, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Corporate Events & more, if you can throw a party for it – we’ve done it!

There are no hire fees, as we operate on a minimum spend basis. All pre-ordered food & drink, as well as your guests bar spend will count towards your total minimum spend. Minimum spend amounts vary, depending on the space required, day/time of the week and month of the year, so make sure to give us this information when getting in touch for a quote. Weekdays carry a lower minimum spend. If you are open to the idea of a weekday event, be sure to let us know and we can send you a quote for both options to see what works best for you.
If you’re not quite sure you need a large private space with all the bells and whistles, we have several seating areas inside the venue and in our garden that are perfect for more intimate and relaxed celebrations. The tables will be reserved for you and your guests only, with the rest of the venue open to the public as normal. In the event of bad weather for garden bookings, we will do our best on the day to accommodate you inside the pub, however this may not always be possible if we are fully booked. A deposit is required to secure your booking which can be used towards food or drink costs on the day. There are no hire fees or minimum spend.

Our experienced head chef has designed fantastic menus for canapés, buffets, and summer BBQs. Every event we host is different from the last, so we aim to be as flexible as we can to make your day as special as it can be.
Freshly-made Cocktails, Wine, Champagne, premium Spirits and Shots, Craft Beers, draught Lager, Cider and Ale are all available, along with freshly-brewed Tea & Coffee. Welcome drinks and Table drinks can be provided upon request, why not make your guests feel like VIP’s with a Pimm’s or glass of Prosecco upon arrival?
