WEDDING RECEPTIONS
Our 2027 Diary is now open for bookings!
If an old-fashioned extravagant white wedding just isn’t quite your thing and you would prefer a more relaxed, fun, and informal day then this is the perfect indoor and outdoor venue to celebrate your love and marriage with all the special people in your lives. Parquetry floors and sunlit rooms make this charming pub and garden a fantastic backdrop for any wedding theme from rustic to vintage, bohemian to romantic, modern to the alternative – we’ve helped to create them all!
The venue is fully air-conditioned for Spring & Summer weddings, and boasts 2 open fires for the colder months, as well as heated and covered booths in the garden. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly venue, love is love and we love to celebrate it. The huge south-facing garden and pub have been cleverly configured to split into two separate and private spaces for you to choose from. We only hold one wedding at a time so that we can provide the best service possible to you and your guests.
There are NO VENUE HIRE FEES as we operate on a minimum spend basis, with all food and drink costs as well as bar spend on the day counting towards it. Minimum spend amounts vary depending on the day of the week and month of the year, so please get in touch for a quote for your chosen wedding date. Private Hire is available 7 days a week, including outside of the pub’s operating hours.
Private Hire of The West Wing & Garden
Suitable for up to 150 guests (50 seated inside or 150 outside)

- Fully stocked and staffed Bar.
- Access to the large private Garden.
- BBQ Pit (May-Sept only).
- Decked Terrace seating with Parasols.
- 7 x covered & heated garden booths.
- Space for a Marquee on the Terrace.

Private Hire of The East Wing
Suitable for 30-90 guests (40 seated inside or 90 outside)
- Private entrance (Mansfield Road)
- Fully stocked and staffed Bar.
- Access to Apple Tree Garden (May-Sept only).
- Fairy lights throughout.
- Air Conditioning for the Summer months.
- Open Fireplace for the Winter months.
- 3 TV Screens for photos & videos.
- Flower wall for the perfect photo backdrop.
- Private Toilets & Baby Change facilities.
- In-house sound system (for staff use only)
- Space for a DJ & dance floor + seating.
- Space for a Photo pod.
Food & Drink
Our experienced head chef has designed fantastic menus for Canapés, Spring/Summer BBQs, Autumn/Winter 3-Course Meals and Buffets to include Afternoon Tea and much more!
Every event we host is different from the last, so we aim to be as flexible as we can to make your day as special as it can be.
Freshly-made Cocktails, Wine, Champagne, premium Spirits and Shots, Craft Beers, draught Lager, Cider and Ale are all available, along with freshly-brewed Tea & Coffee. Welcome drinks and Table drinks can be provided upon request, why not make your guests feel like VIP’s with a glass of Pimm’s or Prosecco on arrival?

Winter Weddings
As the winter months roll in, our gorgeous pub oozes cosiness with roaring open fires, heated garden booths and ambient lighting that are perfect for those grey and rainy days.
Up to 50 guests can be seated inside, with the option to have our faux sheepskin chair covers to add that special touch and keep your guests warm and comfortable.
Winter weddings carry a lower minimum spend requirement (excluding peak December dates) so if you’re looking to keep your budget low with an intimate celebration, then this could be the perfect choice for you to enjoy your special day with your favourite people.
Enjoy a 2/3 Course Meal + a glass of fizz on arrival from only £43 per head, available for 30-50 guests in October- April.
TRAVEL & PARKING
We are in Parking Zone L. There is free on-street parking on all surrounding roads from 12:00- 18:00 & 19:00 onwards. Resident permit-only bays operate 11:00-12:00 and 18:00-19:00, 7 days a week including bank holidays.
